Some words about history of Baranivka (Baranovka) porcelain factory

The factory in Baranivka (Baranovka) was founded in 1803 — 1804 by Mihail Mezer, the youngest brother from family Mezer, who found the porcelain manufacture in Korets.

During Soviet years porcelain factory in Baranivka (Baranovka) completely changed the style of production's artistic design.

The first service with elements of revolutionary theme was produced in Ukraine on Baranivka (Baranovka) porcelain factory in 1922 under the leadership of self-taught foreman Musyj Romanjuk. Factory workers presented it as a momento to Vladimir Lenin.

service, which was named The special pride of Baranivka (Baranovka) porcelain factory is tea and coffee service, which was named "Bud" ("Бутон"). Its cut form and pattern were developed by artist-sculptor Dmytryj Goch.


In design of Baranivka (Baranovka) crockery also was used Petrykivka painting. Artists V. Shherbonos and Z. Mosyjchuk paid significant tribute to it.
