Factory, owned by A. A. Auerbakh, was founded in Domkino village (Tver Governorate) in August, 1809.
In 1829 the factory was moved from Domkino village to Kuznetsovo village.
In 1870 M. S. Kuznetsov bought the enterprise. Since that time it was called Tver factory.
On 28th June, 1918 Kuznetsov factory in Tver Governorate was nationalized, and in 1924 it was named after M. I. Kalinin. It was decided to stop the manufacture of porcelain and semi-faience.
