Some words about Leningrad Porcelain Factory |
Imperial Porcelain Factory was founded in Petersburg in 1744. Since 1917 It is called State porcelain factory and in 1925 the enterprise became the name of Mikhail Lomonosov. In 20th years S. Chekhonin was in charge of factory, Natalia Dan'ko, V. Kuznetsov, М. Адамович, А. Shchekatikhina-Pototskaia, M. Lebedeva worked with him. They were creating promotional porcelain. In 30th years here was opened the art laboratory, which was managed by N. Suetin. The backbone of laboratory was composed of I. Riznich, А. Iatskevitch, А. Vorob'evskij, Т. Bezpalova, S. Jakovleva. In 60th years on Leningrad Porcelain Factory was created the technology and were produced the wares from bone thin-walled china. During this time such sculptors ans artists as S. Jakovleva, A. Leporskaia, M. Krimmer, V. Semenov, V. Gorodetskii, N. Slavina, I. Olevskaja worked on the factory. The produce of "LFZ" is model of high quality. In 1980 Leningrad Porcelain Factory became the international prize "Gold Mercury". |
